It's impossile since vol. 53 will be released in Japan on August 8 like I wrote in the Vol. 53 preview (here: http://www.pokemon-trainer.com/threads/pokemon-special-volume-53-preview.683/page-2#post-11431 ) and they confirmed it on the official website.
Maybe he talked about all the chapters for now released??

Also, there's some theory that the chapters released on Sunday Webry will be released only until October so the series can end in a few of chapters or they will simply stop to publish the chapters online and continue with the volumes...

Yamamoto did say that B2W2 would continue from start to finish all year. So if their contract with Sunday-Webry is that it ends on October, we’ll looking at brand new chapters made specifically for the volume release like in the D/P, Platinum, and HGSS chapters.

Well, it's not a remake but with this chapter the plot developed a lot so liek you said, maybe in October they will end the arc

Is not oficial then, just compiled the last volumes and called them "Vol. 53". I will wait the Vol 53 oficial release because could have some differences (corrections)

Sometimes the volumes have some brand new chapters made specifically for the volumes (for ORAS they added an extra page, HGSS have 2-3 new chapters) so even if the scanlators says "vol. 53" maybe we will see something different

Maybe they want to end the arc before USUM and add some extra chapters in the volumes

Yeah, but SM starts so recently and is monthly too. USUM will take long to start yet seen SM maybe will there are more than 50 capthers like all the others "principal arcs"

Or maybe they will do something like Emerald/Platinum where they start with the story of the game and end with the story of the third installament

Can somebody please explain to me why the BW2 Arc isn't finished yet? I tried to find the post 540 chapters with no success today. It also makes absolutely ZERO sense how the XY and ORAS arcs (which were both after BW2) have been completely finished yet BW2 is still in development. What's the reason? Did they just start less than a year ago or was it bad received?

B2W2 stopped for some time because the authors worked on XY and ORAS (both of them have finished). XY was released monthly in the magazine while ORAS was released online (monthly). With XY/ORAS finished the authors announced that the B2W2 arc will be released monthly online (on Sunday Webry) and the new volume, 53, will be released in Japan on August 8, 2017.

So now they have B2W2 that runs online monthly (this month we have a double release but it's only 1 chapter (sometimes they cut one in half...)) and SM that runs monthly in the magazine.
-> B2W2 is at chapter 16 (540 if you have read all the arcs -> XY/ORAS aren't numbered for now)
