Pokémon CEO: Please Trust Us, We Know What We’re Doing With Let’s GO

In an interview with Famitsu, the Pokemon Company CEO and President Tsunekazu Ishihara told that they have continuously changing the formula of the Pokémon games and in the end players always accepted those changes.
He also asked fans to put some trust in the company.

Among those who have tried the game, some may feel that it has changed. However, we have been continuously changing the formula of the games since our inception, and in the end the players have accepted those changes.

In that sense, this time we are doing the same, but that is part of the long tradition of Game Freak and the Pokémon series. We will not go wrong with the basics, so please, trust us.

Ishihara also explained why they went along with remaking Pokemon Yellow:

In Pokemon GO, you can take with you an associated Pokémon and walk with it, but if we return to its origin, we get to Yellow Pokémon. In Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! We wanted to expand this feature even more. Pikachu always follows Ash in the anime, while Eevee has become very popular because it can evolve in many different ways. And as I mentioned before , we want this to be the game that people go to play after Pokémon GO, since Pokémon Pokémon Red, Blue, Green and Yellow appear in Pokémon GO, so it seemed like a good decision. Based on these things, we decided that Yellow Pokémon would be the perfect choice.

It's Pokémon so it will sell but... yeah, it will be hilarious if it was the worst selling pokemon game ever XD
or if the game will sell but people won't like it XDDD or it will sell and people will like it...

Honestly it will sell, but will most likely be below what they're expecting. They're most likely surprised by the amount of hate for this game which is why he made that statement during the Interview!
The only people this game will really sell to are:

1. The Go Players
2. Young children
3. YouTubers/Hard core franchise supporters who buy anything and everything Pokemon.

Also announcing already a 2019 game which will be like the original style that we know and love, is almost like a double-edge Aegislash. It calms down the people like me who hate the Go mechanics and changes, but it's also going to hurt the sells of Let's Go because people are not going to buy it cause they know that in around a years time there's going to be a game leaps and bounds better being released.

I mean seriously you just have to type pokemon in a search bar and you will get like twenty click bait things that are basically looking at the right pixel of a honedges elbow for about a minute, and then another 9(gotta get that monetisation) to practically beg people who actually have common sense to be willing to donate to them so they still don’t have to get proper jobs and continue to act like children well into their late 30s, I mean seriously I’m fine when people review a game when it is actually out, but I just can’t stand those people that for some reason beat to death a topic they thought would be their main source of income for a large proportion of their life.

I have read about that Versify when at the Pokémon World Championship they started joking in the chat about him... and... well, they were writing about him/her like he was a bad thing...
I don't watch many YouTubers but I like to watch some that explain some glitches or how to escape some impossibile situations (like: I have only a Magikarp with splash and I'm trapped at the League without any HM move/money (so I can't get any Poké Ball to catch other 'mons)/Pokémon/other, how can I finish the game? They are really interesting videos ))

Yea he is... Everytime YouTube shows one of his videos under recommended I immediately go for the "Not Interested" Button, if I could I'd literally block his whole channel! I'd block it and throw away the unblock button!
