During Nintendo’s E3 Direct and Treehouse, the Pokémon Company shared more information about Pokémon Sword and Shield.
- the Poké Ball Plus can be used to store your Pokémon and take them for a stroll in the real world
If you link up a new Poké Ball Plus to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, you’ll be able to receive Mew in the linked game
(Note: if you already received Mew in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, you will be unable to receive Mew from the same Poké Ball Plus in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield.
You will be unable to use the Poké Ball Plus as a controller in Sword/Shield - Nessa is the Water-type gym leader and she uses a Dynamax Drednaw
- Pokémon HOME will not allow Pokémon outside the Galar Pokédex to be transferred. When Pokémon HOME launches, Pokémon Bank users will only be allowed to transfer Pokémon that exist in the Galar region Pokedex
- Grookey has a move named Branch Poke
- In Sword/Shield, there is a feature called Y-Comm. With it, you can do things like trade Pokémon and have Link Battles via the internet or local communication.
- There’s new items named Pungent Root and Pack of Potatoes
- Red light beams in the sky will indicate where there’s a wild Dynamax Pokemon in the wild area. You can choose only one Pokémon (from your team or your box) to use in the Raid battle.
In battle, wild Dynamax Pokémon might use multiple moves in one turn or put up a barrier that prevent almost all damage. To break the barrier trainers will have to repeatedly attack so they can break the barrier.
Even if your Pokémon is knocked out in Max Raid Battles, you’ll still be able to cheer on other players.
If you manage to defeat a Dynamax Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you’ll get a chance to catch it for your team. Each participant in the battle will be able to throw one Poké Ball in an attempt to catch the Dynamax Pokémon. Victories in Max Raid Battles can reward you with many items.
- Yamper
Yamper is Electric-typ
Its ability is Ball Fetch, a new ability that collects the first failed throw of a Poké Ball
Yampers's moves are: Play Rough, Spark, Crunch, and Wild Charge
- Impidimp
Impidimp is a Dark/Fairy type - Game Freak confirmed that Mega Evolution and Z-Moves, two features introduced on Nintendo 3DS, have been scrapped in Sword/Shield
