I usually have my starter with me until the main story ends :yesyes: that's because I really like the starter Pokémon, it's like your very first friend that you make in this new adventure so I don't remember boxing a starter before the end of the story.
But when the story ends, sometimes I box him (for breeding) and sometimes I keep him/her with me.

So, have you ever boxed your starter Pokémon? And if you have deposited a starter prior to finishing the main story, which game/starter was it and why did you do it?

No, usually I keep the starter with me, even when I'm not a big fan of them (like Empoleon, and how much I hated his second type), 'cause you always create a certain "connection" with your starter Pokémon.

I'm not sure about Fennekin, not that I don't like him (Yeah, my Fennekin is a fabulous boy), but I also have a Fletchling, both fire types (okay, Fletchling himself isn't a fire type, but it'll be) and you guys know how I love flying types... But, I'll try to keep Fennekin with me, 'cause every start is special.

You don't like Empoleon?? :cry2: But... but he is a really cute penguin!!!
Joke XD

I usually choose the one that I like so I can use them for the entire journey :winner: :win:

I don't like its second type being steel... It was a pain for me in many battles. :omg:

And, like you, I usually choose the one that I like, the problem was that I didn't like none of the Sinnoh starters, so I took the "least worst" (and 'cause it is a penguin, penguins are funny).

Oh I've never boxed my starter Pokemon ever.
I think the elemental types(fire grass water) are really useful types in the beginning of the game, so I usually find myself always keeping the starter Pokemon.
I did box my female Blaziken named Scarlet I started with in ORAS because I've bred a battle ready Blaziken named Zalik.
