SM Shiny Pokemon

It's been a few weeks and I imagine a few of us have completed the game by now and have started Shiny Hunting for their favorite! Have you guys found any? How?

Just got my first Shiny Pokemon via Masuda Method! Shiny Bounsweet!

Nature: Adamant
IV: HP, Attack, Defense, Speed
Moves:
-Splash
-Play Rough
-Synthesis

So anyone else lucky? Random Encounter? SOS Battle? Masuda Method? Pelago?

I think I'm not that lucky with shinies... I stayed one hour or more to do an sos of Magikarp but nothing... so I'll finish my dex and after that I'll start searching for shinies

I originally spent around 2hrs SOS Bounsweet before obtaining the Shiny Charm and nothing... Then I spent around 3 hrs SOS Bounsweet after obtaining the Shiny Charm and nothing...So I just switched to a method I've had much luck with in the past! (Charmander, Ralts, Larvitar, Snivy, etc.)

109 Eggs Later and I got me Shiny Bounsweet! And I am so very freaking happy!!! Not sure who to go after now...

I originally spent around 2hrs SOS Bounsweet before obtaining the Shiny Charm and nothing... Then I spent around 3 hrs SOS Bounsweet after obtaining the Shiny Charm and nothing...So I just switched to a method I've had much luck with in the past! (Charmander, Ralts, Larvitar, Snivy, etc.)

Don't give up! Best to wait for the Competitive building till after Bank is open and you have the whole PokeDex and Egg Group available! I only did it this once cause I really wanted Shiny Tsareena...

I found this article which listed Shiny Rates for SOS Battles

Shiny hunters will want to pay attention to the next SOS Chaining data as it looks to give the odds for finding Shiny Pokémon.

• Chain length of 0 to 69: ???
  
  
• Chain length of 70 to 255: Three extra rolls for a shiny spawn.
  

From the start of an SOS Chain, the chances for a Shiny Pokémon are not yet known but it’s probably around the same as finding a Shiny Pokémon on the first encounter, which is around 1/4096 but after the 70th Pokémon that chance increases.

After a chain of 70 the game rolls the shiny chance an extra three times, meaning the normal chance of 1/4096 gets increased to 4/4096, effectively giving a chance of 1/1024.

Again, after the 255th Pokémon the chain will reset.

Don't give up! Best to wait for the Competitive building till after Bank is open and you have the whole PokeDex and Egg Group available! I only did it this once cause I really wanted Shiny Tsareena...

It's still a lot but now I have some hope XD

I have a lot of competitive mons inORAS so when the bank will be available I'll use a lot of them XD but there's still a lot of Alolan Pokémon that are interesting to use (Mimikyu, Bewear...)

Definitely agree with Mimikyu! Not sure about Mr.Hugs though...I might try for a Shiny one and name it Freadbear (FNAF Reference XD)

I was hatching egg to have an egg move (Close Combat) and at the second egg... puff! Shiny Growlithe! Sadly it don't have intimidate

can someone clarify a thing for me? does the shiny charm affect sos battle chances? as in, does the chance from chain 70-255 become 1 in 512? I'm currently trying to get a shiny Cutiefly via sos chaining with the shiny charm, no luck so far. I've already chained up to 255 four times, meaning I encountered 744 Cutiefly when the chain was between 70 and 255.

I believe it does, but I haven't had any luck with SOS Battles either sadly, so it's most likely just bad luck...

Well I'm gonna give up. I never had any luck in Pokémon games anyway, should never have tried shiny hunting.
