Well, they are using a trademark "Pokémon" and existing Pokémon (even if re-colored) so it's technically illegal.We can talk about it since it's for commentary, education or parody.
I know that it's a fangame and you can do patchs for games and fan games but I prefer to don't link to that stuff here.

Alright makes sense, I don't really know much about laws and stuff. Wasn't planning on linking it, just telling him they have a site so he can go and check it if he wants to.

I've enjoyed Pokemon Reborn very much. It's super challenging, has a really elaborate story, and sometimes manages to be hilarious. It's my favorite fan-game so far. The battles are very difficult because of the level-cap, to the point of being really frustrating, but the victories are always rewarding. It really makes you feel like you're becoming a skilled trainer.

I spent all of yesterday playing it and I already beat the main story. There are some Sidequest and Pokemon that I need to go find an complete & capture.
But I will admit the update is surprising!
