Well, as any people of my age, of course I watched the Digimon anime when I was a kid... And I really enjoyed the first season.

I also watched to the second (which I think it is okay), and by the chance, watched to some episodes of the third and fourth season, but than, I no longer liked Digimon anymore.

Maybe I should give Digimon a second try, like with Pokémon...

Every season of Digimon is really different from the others... I don't know that much but I think that only the first two are connected and the others are "spin-off". If you liked the first 2 seasons, I suggest you to watch Digimon Tri (with the characters of the first season :yesyes: )

Maybe I should give a try, but the "problem" is that, I enjoyed the first Digimons when I was a kid, and Digimon doesn't give me that much nostalgic feelings, so even with the first generations characters, I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it now.

The only thing to do is to give it a try :yesyes:
I never watched the entire 1st-2nd series but Tri is really well made :yesyes: with an interesting story

But well, I read the previous posts (second page) and saw somebody talking about the Pokémon x Digimon rivalry... To me, Pokémon is better in both, anime and games.

As I told, I enjoyed the beginning of the Digimon anime, but not even close to how fanatic I was for the Pokémon anime when I was a child (If I can remember, one of the things that made me think Pokémon was cooler is the fact that in Digimon each DigimonTrainer* had only one Digimon, while the Pokémon Trainers could catch them all! And I also used to prefer the Pokémon designs better then the Digimon ones). And nowadays, I'm here at PokémonTrainer.com (because of Pokémon BW), not at DigimonWhatever.com (and don't even know if Digimon still having a animated series, despite the Digimon Tri that you cited).

And the games... Well, I played too few Digimon games, I just played one for the PlayStation (I think it's called Digimon World), and some fighting-like games. But none of them was really amusing.

* I don't know what word you use to describe them in English.

Well that's tricky. Depending on the season they're called differently. Season 1, 2 and 4 they're called DigiDestined, in Season 3 they're called Tamers. Season 5 and 6 I don't know since I didnt watch them.

The general term would be tamers tho.

Well... I haven't played that many Digimon games but Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth is really awesome! And believe me: the story is MUCH better of any (main series) Pokémon game I played. Maybe because is more adult... dunno, but I enjoyed it really much :yesyes: (so I suggest you to play it!)
For the anime, it's true that most of them use only 1 Digimon but I think that's because the game is based on the Tamagotchi were you train your "monster" :yeahyeah: but there's anyway some characters that have more than one Digimon :yesyes: the main character of Digimon Xross have the main Digimon but use a lot of them (if you want you can read the manga of it "Digimon Xros Wars" because many in tre previous pages said that the anime isn't that good... or "Digimon Adventure: V-Tamer 01" another manga of Digimon that I like a lot)

Thanks for the information! :)

And that is crazy... If I remember well, here in Brazil we use only one word to describe a "Digimon" trainer. roftl

Well, I did a fast research about this game, and makes sense it be more adult, as it is rated T, while Pokémon Games are E. I'd like to try a demo, but (as wikipedia told me) it is only available for PS4 and PSVita, so I can't play it.

About the anime, as I told, my "comparison" was made when I was like, don't know, 7 years old, so maybe if I watch to both animes nowadays, maybe I would change my mind... Or not, you know me, I haven't a very common "taste" for animes, characters (just to be quick, I love the hated Iris and think that the beloved Serena is boring).

asd oh don't worry, I have strange tastes too XD many don't like Gundam and I love the series XD
Many love My Hero Academia and I don't like it :search: so, give a try to everything and see for yourself :yesyes:

As for Cyber Sleuth, give it a try in the future :yesyes:

I've watched seasons 1 - 4 and some movies but haven't read any manga unfortunately yet. But I have a comic book and a board game also. I fell in love Digimon just as much as Pokemon ^_^ it's an interesting story line and I also like how they tie together somewhat.

When you have the opportunity watch Tri :yesyes: it's really well made!
And for the games, I suggest you to play Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth for PS4. I played it and it was a hell because I played it for an entire week and wasn't able to stop XDD (it's really good and the story is really awesome!)

I'm thinking of checking it out once the subs are out... The intro actually looks pretty good!
