Sometimes your partner will send you a sign during battle, if you wave your detached Joy-Con when the partner sign appears, Pikachu or Eevee will use a special partner power.
Pikachu's partner power is Pika Papow. The power of this move will increase based on how good of friends you and your Pikachu are.
Eevee's partner power is Veevee Volley. The power of this move will increase based on how good of friends you and your Eevee are.
Both partners may even send you a sign when they aren't battling. If you respond, it’ll cheer on the Pokémon in battle by boosting its stats.

Pikachu and Eevee learn new exclusive moves:
Pikachu can learn the Water-type move Splishy Splash. This move has a chance to paralyze opponents
Eevee can learn the Water-type move Bouncy Bubble. This move will heal Eevee for half the damage it deals to the opponent.
Eevee can learn the Electric-type move Buzzy Buzz. This move will leave the opponent paralyzed after the move hits.
Eevee can learn the Fire-type move Sizzly Slide. This move will always leave the opponent with the burned status condition!

Secret Techniques are special skills that Pikachu and Eevee can use outside of battle. Clear away troublesome trees with Chop Down, or glide across the water with Sea Skim. Sky Dash allows you to quickly revisit towns and cities you’ve been to before.
