The official website (http://www.pokemonrubysapphire.com/en-us/ ) was updated!
First of all, the website confirmed that Feebas will evolve into Milotic when you raise its Beauty condition with Pokéblocks and then level it up.
The Shiny Beldum is confirmed even for North America and Europe. This Beldum will hold the Mega Stione and will be available for those who purchase the game shortly after the launch of the game.
Mega Altaria
When it Mega Evolves, Altaria's type changes and it becomes a Dragon/Fairy type. It has the Pixilate Ability, which makes Normal-type moves into Fairy-type moves. Its Attack and Sp. Attack also get big boosts, and its Defense is increased as well.
Mega Salamence
With the Mega Evolution, the Defense of Salamence stat soars. Its Aerilate Ability also makes Normal-type moves into Flying-type moves, increasing the ways that Mega Salamence can battle.
Mega Lopunny
Lopunny's Attack gets a huge boost from Mega Evolution, and its already-high Speed also increases. With the Scrappy Ability, its Normal- and Fighting-type moves will even hit Ghost-type Pokémon.
Contest Idol Lisia
Lisia is the number-one contest star in the Hoenn region, performing as a pair with her Pokémon partner, an Altaria named Ali. She can see the potential in you and your Pokémon. Although she is a contest prodigy, she also doesn't shy away from hard work and effort, which is where her true appeal lies.
Pokémon Contest Spectaculars (this is the new name of the Contests)
Like in the old games, even in ORAS there will be different categories of contests to enter: Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness and Toughness and split into four ranks: Normal Rank, Super Rank, Hyper Rank, and Master Rank. You will start in the Normal Rank and if you win, you will be able to challenge the next Rank. You'll also be dressing up when you stand on stage together. Put on the special costume you get from Lisia!
Even the PokéBlocks return!
Pokéblocks are special snacks for Pokémon that you make using two to four Berries. The type of Pokéblock you make will depend on the color and variety of Berries that you choose. When you give them to your Pokémon, their contest conditions will improve based on the type of Pokéblock. In order to decide which condition to improve, start by considering the type of contest you’d like to feature your Pokémon in.
With the Pokéblock Kit that Lisia gives you, you can make Pokéblocks from Berries. With the kit, you can check how many Berries and Pokéblocks you have, make new Pokéblocks using your Berries and give Pokéblocks to your Pokémon.
The main event in any Contest Spectacular is the Talent Round, where Pokémon use their moves to show off their appeal. Every move that a Pokémon can learn is associated with one of the five contest conditions. In your five turns during the Appeal Round, try to select moves that match the contest type to really get the audience on your side. After the Talent Round, the contest results will be announced.
During the Talent Round, you can create combos by using two particular moves in a row, which can really impress the audience. Try to find the perfect move combos! Check out this example with Salamence.
There are other strategies as well, such as using moves that can startle other Pokémon so they lose some of their appeal, or moves that make other Pokémon so nervous that they are unable to use their own moves. Just like in regular battles, contests will require strategic thinking to master!
All of the Pokémon taking part in a contest can help get the audience excited. The level of excitement can be seen in the excitement gauge. The amount of excitement will go up or down, based on how the Pokémon succeed in showing off their appeal.
Try to time your appealing moves so the excitement reaches its maximum level on your turn. You will be able to pull off a special, gorgeous appeal, and even earn a bonus! Since other Pokémon can both increase and decrease the excitement in the hall, though, things may not always go just as you’ve planned. You’ll have to strategize to ensure that the excitement reaches its peak on your turn!
Using the same move repeatedly can lower the crowd's excitement level. The trick is to choose your moves in a way that ensures the excitement reaches its maximum level on your turn. And there's more: Pokémon that are able to Mega Evolve will do so when the excitement reaches its max level and earn an even greater bonus. You can't let this chance go by!
Cosplay Pikachu (Cosplay Pikachu has a black heart-shaped mark near the end of its tail.)
More has been revealed about the Pikachu wearing creative costumes. The truth is that this Pikachu is a star Pokémon that's wildly popular in Pokémon Contest Spectaculars. It goes by the name Cosplay Pikachu! The heart-shaped mark on its tail is its signature, and it absolutely loves fashion. By dressing up in different costumes, it can steal the show in all kinds of contests!
After you take part in your first contest, you will be able to get this Cosplay Pikachu on your team. You can change Cosplay Pikachu's costumes anytime in the green room at any Contest Hall. Note: Other Pikachu that you catch or obtain cannot dress up in these costumes. Only the Cosplay Pikachu that you receive at the Contest Hall can dress up in contests.
Cosplay Pikachu can take on different appearances and learn different moves, and those changes will appear in battle, as well! Depending on its costume, it will be able to use moves that a normal Pikachu cannot learn, making it very attractive for battle.
There's a lot more you can do with the Pokémon Contest Spectacular. First, using communication features, you can play together with your friends. Compete with your friends and family members on the contest stage!
You can also take photos of your precious Pokémon. When the camera icon is displayed, you can take a picture of your favorite moment during a contest. If you talk to the young man near the reception desk who says it’s his job to prepare the Contest Hall, he can even set it up so you can take pictures of your Pokémon, capturing the world around you in the background! Try to take the ultimate shot with your Pokémon!
When you start to take part in contests, you will begin finding your fans waiting for you near the entrances to Contest Halls. These fans will support you in their own ways, cheering you on and giving you gifts like Berries. As you gain more skill in the contests, the number of fans waiting for you will increase, and they will be even more help to you!
Horde Encounters (introduced in Pokémon X and Y) are now introduced even in ORAS!
But that's not all! Now the Horde Encounters are extended even to trainers!
