The official website updated with new informations about ORAS and the demo revealed two new Mega Evolutions: Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie.
The demo revealed two new Mega Evolutions: Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie.
- Mega Steelix is a Steel/Ground type and has the ability Sand Force
- Mega Glalie is a pure Ice type with the ability Refrigerate.
Mega Pidgeot is a Normal/Flying witht the ability No Guard. Upon Mega Evolving, its Sp. Atk gets a great boost. Take good advantage of its zippy Speed stat, and you can pummel opponents in no time flat. Its No Guard Ability means its attack will never miss—nor will attacks used against it. You can be sure of dealing damage even with moves that have low accuracy.>
Mega Beedrill is a Bug/Poison type with the ability Adaptability. Mega Evolution gives its Attack and Speed stats an explosive boost. Adaptability is an Ability that increases the power of moves of the same type as the user from the standard 150% to 200%. Put it together with this Pokémon's powerful Attack stat and aim for massive damage!
- Mega Latios is a Dragon/Psychic with the ability Levitate. Latios Mega Evolves into Mega Latios. It's larger than Mega Latias, and can achieve higher speeds in flight. Latios has high stats in both Speed and Sp. Atk. When it Mega Evolves, its Sp. Atk is not the only stat to get a great boost—its Attack jumps, too! This Pokémon can use its Speed in battle to unleash a flurry of attacks!
- Mega Latias is a Dragon/Psychic with the ability Levitate. Latias Mega Evolves into Mega Latias. Its body is smaller than Mega Latios's body. It is more agile and can make very sharp turns. Latias has high stats in Speed, Defense, and Special Defense, making it very durable. When it Mega Evolves, its famed defensive strength grows substantially! It can benefit you in a supportive role, such as having it use moves to aid an ally in Double Battles.
You can meet the Legendary Pokémon Latios and Latias with a special code for the Eon Ticket! Players with the Eon Ticket will be able to go to Southern Island again to encounter and catch Latias in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Latios in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Until now in the Pokémon series, your adventure was limited to the tall grass and the forests, the cave, the routes, and the seas themselves. Now your adventure finally takes flight!
You can of course still travel in the field, but there are also places you can only reach from the sky, and Pokémon that you can only meet in the sky. Unknown adventures and discoveries are waiting for you!
Partway through your adventure, you’ll become able to Soar in the sky. Gaze down over the wide Hoenn region as you Soar freely wherever you wish!
Try using the Eon Flute, obtained during your adventure, in the field. Latios or Latias will come to pick you up, and you’ll be able to take off on its back to Soar the skies. Prepare to be awed by the spectacle of Latios or Latias Mega Evolving in the air!
Many Pokémon live their lives aloft in the skies. While exploring the skies above, you may encounter Pokémon—and have the chance to either battle or catch them!
Among the destinations you can reach using Soar are very special locations called Mirage spots. In Mirage spots, you may be able to find rare Pokémon that cannot be found elsewhere in the region, and you may also be able to obtain valuable items. That's not all—Powerful Legendary Pokémon sometimes appear in Mirage spots for you to battle or catch!
Mirage spots can be found in the clouds and on small islands and in other locations, but further details are not yet known. It seems that some of them may be spots where you can encounter powerful Legendary Pokémon. And it's also said that some Mirage spots can only be discovered when certain conditions are fulfilled!
The PokéNav Plus is your best friend on your adventure. It's a handy tool that will help you navigate your adventure as a Pokémon Trainer. It provides a lot of useful information, making your adventure easier and more fun than ever.
Outside of battles and special events, the PokéNav Plus will always be displayed on the lower screen of your Nintendo 3DS system. You can instantly switch between its four main functions with touch input, and be ready to play in no time.
The PokéNav Plus features four main applications: the DexNav, AreaNav, BuzzNav, and PlayNav.
The DexNav application displays information about Pokémon that appear in the area you’re currently in. You can even search for Pokémon hiding in the tall grass and other places. When you’re walking about in the fields in these games, you’ll sometimes see a bit of a Pokémon's body sticking out above the tall grass or splashing out of the water.
Your DexNav comes with a convenient search function that allows you to learn more about Pokémon hiding in the field. When you start the DexNav app, you can search for information about hidden Pokémon, which will be displayed on the lower screen.
Before the battle even begins, you can know what kind of Pokémon is waiting for you, and even what kind of Ability or moves it might have. Searching out new Pokémon is going to be a blast!
Using the DexNav, once you have caught at least one of a certain kind of Pokémon, you can then choose to search only for specimens of that Pokémon species.
The DexNav will be a big help to Trainers who want to focus on finding a particular kind of Pokémon. Searching out Pokémon just got a lot easier!
The Search Level displayed in the upper-right corner goes up in proportion to how many specimens of a Pokémon species you have found.
As the Search Level goes up...
There are many ways in which you might meet Pokémon during your adventure, such as meeting Pokémon traveling with other Trainers or coming across Pokémon in the field. If you use the DexNav, those everyday Pokémon encounters can also be used to register Pokémon in your Pokédex.
You’ll be able to check where the Pokémon you see reside in the wilds using the distribution tab in your Pokédex. If you see a Pokémon you like, try to go out and catch one! The feeling of realism in your adventure is getting a great boost!
Instantly understand how your Pokémon catching is going! On the DexNav screen, you will be able to see the area you’re currently in, along with icons representing area Pokémon you have encountered and caught. An area Pokémon that you have encountered at least once will appear in silhouette. When you catch a specimen, its icon will show up in full color. You'll be able to tell at a glance which Pokémon from that area you've seen and caught.
Of course, the AreaNav application can tell you where certain locations are on the map. But it can do more than that! It can tell you where to find Pokémon and Trainers, Secret Bases, and your Berry Trees. You can even check in on how your Berries are coming along.
View Trainers appearing in a selected area that you can battle again and get details about them. You'll also be able to see if they're ready for a rematch.
With the BuzzNav application, you can view news from around the Hoenn region and from other players whom you've passed by. Be sure to check it whenever you pass by a lot of people in StreetPass!
The TV shows that appear come in all different formats, from news about Trainers and Secret Bases, to interviews from the streets of Hoenn, and news and entertainment programs full of information about Pokémon. The more people you pass by, the richer the news content, and you might sometimes receive some very special information.
