Yes ok I can't for the life of me come up with a name, Ronoc is just a placeholder name.

I wanted to make the game more unique than other fan games so, rather than getting one starter, you choose two (I am the pinnacle of creativity) If someone wants the full list of 10 starters let me know.

There are 5 gym leaders, all references to books, video games, comics etc, however they will be more drawn out than normal, and tougher. The puzzles will all be tougher than the whole "Look up the invisible path or where to move the blocks" level of fan games.

Elite four is

Features I plan on doing:
Pokemon following you
Secret bases
Carry 8 Pokemon, but use 6 in a battle (Kinda like Pokemon Adventures where Red has 7 Pokemon)

The barely story I started:
Not spoiling everything cause you know, suspense, but the way the story will start, is The main Character getting an invitation to a trainers school, this is where you fill out the details of your character. Then you go to bed, where Xerneas comes to you in a dream (again, super creative) and tells you that Yveltal is awakening and is planning on kamikaze-ing himself to kill everything, and that you are the one who must capture him so he, you know, can't kill everything. You rival was contacted by Yveltal who tells him basically the same thing but with a few differences. An old man comes to you while one route one, and tells you he has been sent by Xerneas to help you on your quest.

I have more out but that's all for now!

If anyone has any skill at sprites I would really appreciate the help, I can't offer payment but I could mail you a sandwhich or something.

So yeah the game hasn't even started development so a demo won't be out for at least a year if then.

Why not Drowzee or Darkrai? Those two in Myster Dungeon are able to do that... or you can use Darkrai that wants to help Xerneas so he appears too...
Or Darkrai will help Yveltal and the rival while Drowzee will help Xerneas (only a suggestion)

I think you misunderstand, you can carry 8, like how red had Saur, Poli, Pika, Gyara, Aero, Vee, Snor, and swapped them out between battles.

Yeah you can choose two, I wanted the trainer to not be stuck with a starter then route one birds/ bidoofs for a while

Sounds interesting!! To choose 2 Pokémon sounds hard to implement in the game!! esspecially since you have the variables of 'starter choice, 1,2 & 3)
And I soo understand it can take a while to finish it!! Currently working on my fan game as well for .. yeaaars.. and still no alpha out haha!! so take yur time ^-^ We have patience!

I think it's an interesting choice to have two starters out of 10. You could say that XY gave you two starters (gen 6 and gen 1) so it's not completely unheard of, while Pokemon Reborn gave you all the 18 starters up to gen 6 as options so having a wide pool of 10 to choose from doesn't sound that absurd.
I like your pick for 10 starters! Did you have a reason for selecting them?

It looks like your initial idea for the elite four starts more from their team composition. That's quite different from the Pokemon Exelis team I'm working with who start with character story and designs. Nothing wrong about either!

I wonder how a fangame's rom would have to be based if you want 8 Pokemon in a team. No official Pokemon game has more than 6 slots for your team so I worry that you might need to create your own ROM instead of borrowing a pre-existing one, unless some other fangame has this feature.

I can sense that you criticize yourself a few times on your creativity, but regardless of how original your ideas are, I think it's more important that at least you made something at all. I always think about writing a story, but shamefully, have never started on it. You're far better than me, so keep it up!

It looks like your initial idea for the elite four starts more from their team composition. That's quite different from the Pokemon Exelis team I'm working with who start with character story and designs. Nothing wrong about either!
