Pokémon Trading Card Game is a game based on the original Pokémon TCG.
At the beginning you can choose one of three different deck: Water (Squirtle & friends), Fire (Charmander & friends) or Grass (Bulbasaur & friends). The rules of this game are identical to the real Pokémon TCG. If somebody haven't played once the TCG, in the game there will be some explanations.

The player will be able to challenge other "trainers" and even a rival. The objective of the game is to conquer all the medals in the region. Like in the originals Pokémon games, even here there are "gym leaders", know as Club Master,to beat and the prize to beat them is one package of cards and the medal.
If you collect all the medals you can enter the league and fight the Grand Master (a sort of Elite Four) and finally the Champion.

A sequel to the game only came out in Japan and in the new title (Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR!) is possible to choose the sex of the protagonist.
