It's up to you to what to give you can even give a 1euro key no one force you to give a 5euro key... you can even give as a prize a drawing of something that the winner requests

Yesterday I've made a small test and looks like Pokémon Showdown works great (even that I gave up from the battle as my opponent took so much time to make his/her moves).

Do you know if there is a way to record a video of the battles (inside the Pokémon Showdown, 'cause of course you can do it using an external app)?

Or, do you know any other good battle simulator?

I think that when you end the battle (with a win or a loss) it gives you a link where you can go and watch your battle

An idea how about this tournament is a Random Battle one if you're using Pokemon Showdown. Like that it's all down to luck and skill, here's a battle I just did using the Random Battle option.

The random battles make the Pokémon have different levels to create balance. Legendary Pokémon and strong Pokémon have lower levels and weaker Pokémon have higher levels to make the battle last longer

Random team looks interesting... but in the other hand, I'd like to build my own team (even that I probably would make a clone of my AS team).

Well, we should make a poll to decide how the teams will be build, and start defining the battle rules.

2 - Do you prefer random teams or build your own team?

And I'd like to tag some forum member that have been active in the last couple of days, but haven't post in this thread. Maybe some of them don't even noticed what is this thread about. 1. I really like Pokémon Online but I'm fine with everything (I tryed Showdown and it's easy)
2. I'm fine with both but maybe the "own team" is more interesting

I think Pokemon Showdown is the way to go. It's an easy to use battle simulator and is very accessible. Anyone with an internet browser can use it, and all you need is a username and a password.

I think it will be more interesting to use our own teams, but teambuilding is a chore...I'd rather play random battles because that keeps it simple.

I'll try my best to try and participate, and I think Showdown is the best option, since you don't need an account, just a username. Personally I'd like the Random Battles cause it'll all come down to luck, skill, and the chances of cheap tactics being used are low.

Now I realized that I never told what I think about the battle simulator and team rules.

1) I haven't used a simulator before, so I'd just agree with the one you decide (but I'd prefer one we can run without instaling on our computers).
2) I don't really know about the team, probably because I never build a competitive team (probably I would just pick the Pokémon I like and try to do the best with them), and that's why I think random teams could be fun...

If there is someone who actually still with will to make this championship happen, of course.
