The official Pokémon website was updated with new information, screenshots and the english names of the new Pokémon shown in CoroCoro!
Mega Garchomp will have the ability Sand Force. It has decreased Speed but increased Attack and Special Attack.
Mega Mewtwo X has an increased Attack stat and gain the Psychic/Fighting type. His ability is Steadfast.
Quilladin is the evolution of Chespin and is a Grass type Pokémon. Quilladin has the ability Overgrow.
Braixenis the evolution of Fennekin and is a Fire type Pokémon. Braixen has the ability Blaze.
Frogadier is the evolution of Froakie and is a Water type Pokémon. Frogadier has the ability Torrent.
Furfrou is a Normal type Pokémon and have the ability Fur Coat (which halves the damagetaken from physical attacks). Furfrou can have its appearance changed by grooming.
Meowstic is a Psychic type Pokémon. This Pokémon have 2 different forms: one male (the blue one) and one female (the white one). The movepool varies by gender: the male is a supporter and know Miracle Eye while the female is an attacker with Extrasensory. The ability of this Pokémon is Keen Eye or Infiltrator.
Tyrunt is a Rock/Dragon type. Tyrunt can be obtained by restoring the Jaw Fossil. He has the ability Strong Jaw (increase power of biting moves) and know the attack Crunch and Dragon Tail.
Amaura is a Rock/Ice type and you'll need the Sail Fossil to obtain it. He has the ability Refrigerate (this ability turns a Normal type attack used by the Pokémon to an Ice-type). He know Aurora Beam.
Pyroar is a Fire/Normal type. This Pokémon have 2 different forms.Pyroar can have the ability Unnerve or Rivalry and can lear the move Echoed Voice.
More changes regarding the types have been announced:
- Fairy type is super effective against Dragon, Fighting and Dark and isn't effective against Fire, Poison and Steel. The Fairy type will be weak against Poison and Steel and resists against Fighting, Dark and Bug. It is immune to Dragon.
- Ghost-type Pokémon are not affected by moves that prevent Pokémon from fleeing from battle
- Grass-type Pokémon are immune to Leech Seed and powder and spore moves
- Electric-type Pokémon cannot be afflicted with the Paralyzed condition.
New characters are revealed!
In the Team Flare Top Scientists we have: Celosia (the purple-haired woman), Aliana (the orange-haired woman), Bryony (the green-haired woman), Mable (the blue-haired woman) and Xerosic (the only man).
Diantha is a famous movie star and also a Pokémon Trainer. Sometime she will trade Pokémon with you.
Also, you will be able to change the outfit (hat, shoes, and accessoriese) and the hair style of your character.
To do so you have to use the boutiques and the salon that appear in the game. There are boutiques in many of the cities you visit and each one has its own individual style.
When you change your outfit and your hair, your icon on the PSS and on the Pokémon Global Link will change, too.
Another new thing is the Trainer PR Videos. Trainer PR Videos are 10-second films that feature you and your Pokémon. You have to choose your expressions, poses, background music, camera angles, and more to create a video.
