[Pokemon Trainer]

This month’s SM summary, courtesy of Coronis:

En unleashes Inferno Overdrive, and rams into Type: Null (interesting how it appears to be physical when it’s supposed to be powering up Ember). The attack sends Gladion flying and crashing, and Sun himself stumbles backwards. Kiawe compliments on the successful Z Move,and Moon notices that Type: Null’s helmet is starting to crack from the powerful impact. Seeing this, Gladion hurriedly retrieves Type: Null to send out Porygon instead. Sun calls for another Inferno Overdrive from En, but En only puffs out an Ember which is even weaker than usual, and gets knocked back by Porygon’s Psybeam.

Gladion mocks at the Z Moves, which take a toll on the user’s body and can’t even knock out an opponent. Sun furiously states that Gladion is just being bitter, and says he had to call back Type: Null in fear. Gladion counters that Sun should thank him for retrieving Null or he wouldn’t want to see what happens if its helmet shatters. Moon recalls the conversation Nanu had with Gladion at the Festival, about the helmet being a restrainer, and steps up to state that she believes Gladion isn’t simply being bitter, much to Sun’s annoyance.

Moon asks to at least heal Tapu Lele’s wounds before Gladion takes it away, but Gladion decides to ask about the battle Moon witnessed between Tapu Lele and Xurkitree. Moon recalls how the mysterious creature one-sidedly controlled the battle, and also mentions her failure to capture it. Hearing that, Gladion decides that Tapu Lele is of no use to him, since it is too weak. He mocks how it fled from the battle with Xurkitree back to its lair, and didn’t even put up a fight when he tried to catch it. He thinks it is a joke that it is regarded as a guardian.

To thank Moon for granting him a break, he decides to tell her that the opening in the sky is an exit but not an opening, and Sun argues that it makes no difference. Gladion tells him to use his head, and Moon realizes that one can only come out but not enter via the opening. Gladion also mentions the portal can only be severed from the other side but not their side. He then leaves and Sun tries to give chase, but is stopped by Kiawe and Kahili, the latter believing that Gladion is shouldering the impending crisis of Alola on his shoulders alone. Sun is hardly polite towards Kahili, and Kiawe introduces her as a prominent trainer on top of golfer in Alola.

Just then, Tapu Lele emerges from its cocoon state, and Moon urges him to do the delivery. Sun asks for a signature, which Moon states Tapu Lele clearly can’t, and after the guardian consumesthe Mirage Berry, its health is restored, and it also showers everyone with its healing scales. Moon then asks Tapu Lele if Xurkitree was the reason behind its anger, and the guardian replies by activating a Psychic Terrain with its ability. Kahili realizes it is testing their strength, and Sun, Moon, Kiawe and Kahili team up to fight. Unfortunately, Tapu Lele is overwhelmingly strong, and Kiawe couldn’t start to imagine how strong Xurkitree must be if it could overpower Tapu Lele. Sun, unwilling to give up since it is taking up his work time, forces on and En evolves into a Torracat, swinging out a blast of flames which manage to hit Tapu Lele. Apparently contented, Tapu Lele flies off, and Moon thinks they have gained its trust like they did with Tapu Koko.

Moon ponders on Gladion’s words, and wonders who might have opened the portal from the other side. Sun thinks of the Rotom-dex, and wonders if it can help them communicate with Pokemon. He mocks that it is easily knocked out by Xurkitree, but Rotom-dex kicks his face in reflex as he wakes up and suddenly mutters the name ‘Necrozma’.

Meanwhile, at Aether Paradise, Aether Foundation have invited residents to help them advertise their organization, giving them souvenirs afterwards. The staff in charge (who looks awfully similar to Cedric Juniper’s face) sees the arrival of their President, Lusamine, who is happy that things are going well.

Back on Akala, Mallow and Lana have defeated the Skull Grunts, and the group reunites before setting off. At that moment, Dollar seems intrigued by the Memorial Hill, and pops out from its Pokeball to look around the burial site of the Alolan royalty…

This month’s SM summary, courtesy of Coronis:

Nighttime has fallen and Kukui’s yacht ship sails from Akala to Ula'ula. Moon is asleep and Sun finishes wrapping up his other parcels (turns out Tapu Koko’s task is not considered complete yet). He wants to get some rest himself but bumps into Rotomdex, which Kukui was asked to fix by Moon. However, he found that Rotom nor the Dex was actually malfunctioning, but probably needs to expel the extra electrical signals zapped into it by the mysterious being. Sun recalls Rotomdex mentioning Necrozma, but Kukui has no idea what it means (since he said he is a move-expert only). He hopes that his wife who is an expert in alien creatures would know, but at that moment, Burnet shows up on Mantine surfing and reveals that she unfortunately has no idea either. Burnet has brought Lillie along, who is seasick from the surfing, and Burnet thanks Sun for his Pyukumuku essence, despite angry at him at the same time for beating Masked Royal.

Suddenly, a flower shaped antenna pops up in the water and everyone starts to get drowsy. Lillie is thrown into the sea and Sun tries to rescue her by summoning Sharpedo. It turns out to be a wild Bruxish, and Sun sends Baht out to fight, who schools, turns big and clashes with Bruxish. Sun passes out and later gets washed ashore on Ula'ula with Lillie. Acerola finds them, and asks her Sandygast to hoist them back to the Aether House. Sun is later waken by Yungoos and the kids chasing each other around (hitting him on the face in the progress), and wakes to find Lillie, who has never really met him but heard much of him since Burnet was basically ruminating about Sun’s victory over the Masked Royal daily. Sun blushes a bit as he compliments on Lillie’s beauty, but Lillie gets uneasy when Sun describes her as just like a doll (probably reminding her of what Lusamine is doing to her). Sun learns that they are at the Aether House, and Sun sees Acerola speaking on the phone outside, recognizing her amulet which suggests that she is a Captain.

Meanwhile, at the Aether Foundation, a male worker reports to Faba about the three people rescued by their patrol ships. Faba gets upset however since the worker did not address him as Branch Chief, and throws him down with Hypno. We see that Faba is writing a popular blog, and Wicke barges in to report that the three rescued people have awakened, again upsetting Faba by not calling him his title. The three turn out to be Kukui, Burnet and Moon, and after knowing that Moon has no idea where she is, Faba decides to give her a tour at the Aether Foundation…

At Melemele’s Trainer School, Hau astonishes Ilima by asking him to bring him along to Ula'ula, which he overheard from the Captain’s conversation with Mallow. The truth is, Hau initially came to challenge Ilima after receiving Popplio from Kukui, but after overhearing the conversation about Team Skull, decides to lend a hand. He explains that his grandfather has been very distraught about Team Skull, since someone the organization apparently learnt Pokemon battling from him in the past, making Hala think that he bears certain responsibility for Team Skull’s actions, since he should have taught that person that ‘winning’ and 'becoming the top’ are not everything in life. Hau himself believes that winning a battle isn’t everything there is to Pokemon training, as one can also enjoy other things like surfing on Mantine, planning moves and battles, which is why although he can be saddened by a loss, but it would not be the end of his world. Ilima eventually agrees to take Hau along, and Hau suggests buying some Malasadas to take along since people are less edgy with good food.

Back at the abandoned Mega Mart, Sun dodges Mimikyu’s attack by using Rotom-Dex as a shield, angering the device. It explains about Mimikyu’s 'Disguise’ ability, which essentially made the Z move go waste. Mimikyu continues to strike as Sun continues to shield himself with Rotom-Dex, and finds it odd that he is the one getting attacked rather than En. Rotom-Dex believes that Sun has intruded its territory, and Lillie thinks it is just like how Tapu Bulu acted in response to its territory being invaded in the past. Rotom-Dex then explains that the truth about Tapu Bulu’s rage was that the Tapu Village was a sacred forest which served as the guardian’s source of energy. When humans built the Mega Mart, they degraded the sacred place and thus resulted in Tapu Bulu’s rage. Sun can understand the similarity, but wonders how it sabotaged Mimikyu’s territory when he was simply trying to take a picture as part of the challenge. Suddenly, Sun recalls what he said about Mimikyu’s appearance, and realizes that his words must be what 'intruded’ the Pokemon. The realization seems to calm Mimikyu instantly, and it begins speaking through Rotom-Dex that it is only trying to make friends with humans. Since his true form will certainly scare people away, it pretends to be like Pikachu so people wouldn’t run away. Unfortunately, things always ended up like how Sun acted, and Mimikyu shut itself off inside the abandoned Mart, carrying its rage towards humans, which is intensified by the anger Tapu Bulu left in the area. It feels sad that people do not accept its true appearance, and not even the fake appearance it put up to try to get attention. Hearing that, Lillie suddenly gets emotional, and says she completely understands its feelings.

Sun believes that he has a simple solution, and offers to let Mimikyu join his team. He frankly states that he will not take back what he said about Mimikyu looking eerie, since it is his honest opinion. But he thinks Mimikyu will never be understood by humans either if it stays in confinement. By following him outside, he may still encounter people who disdain it, but he will tell them that it is possible to make friends with Mimikyu. That said, some people may still fear or hate it, and Mimikyu doesn’t need to make friends with these people, since it is not possible to make everyone like it afterall. Yet, it may just come across great people who appreciate it. Mimikyu accepts Sun’s offer, and gets into a picture with him before Sun does a capture. He decides to name it Franc, since its 'head’ shakes (Furan-furan) as it walks after its disguise is down. Rotom-Dex helps Sun deliver the photo to Acerola since the original camera was broken, and receives her approval that he may deliver the Mirage Berry to Tapu Bulu.

Suddenly, Sun remembers that his packages were on Kukui’s ship, and Lillie wonders if the couple and Moon were alright. Sun is the least worried since Moon is smart and skilled, and Lillie agrees that Moon was really remarkable. Sun decides to search for the Berry himself, and gets on Stoutland, whom he believes can find the Berry since it has learnt the odour of the Mirage Berry Moon found previously. Nearby, Sina and Dexio spot Sun and Lillie, and decide that they shall seek Sun’s help in their quest. Sun thanks Rotom-Dex for its help and thinks it should stay as his Pokedex meanwhile. Lillie thinks it’s great that it can help them communicate with Pokemon like Franc, and Sun wonders if its stories regarding Tapu Bulu were told by Mimikyu. However, Rotom-Dex reveals that it actually learnt those tales from the Pokemon in Lillie’s bag, who seems to have a deep understanding of the other Tapus. Lillie decides to let Nebby out, but to her shock, sees it morphed into something else, which Rotom-Dex wonders if its is some form of cocoon. They then receive a message from Acerola, instructing them to go back and wait at the Aether House.

Meanwhile, the Captains have converged at the gates of Po Town, the last to arrive being Ilima and Hau. The group encounters the Grunts upon entry, asking to speak with Guzma, and the man shows up at his terrace with Plumeria. Guzma mocks that he is amused that they want a word with him, and is even more amused when Hau offers everyone a Malasada. He agrees to talk, provided that they can reach him, and the Captains suddenly find themselves surrounded by Pheromosa, Celesteela and Guzzlord.

Later, Sun wakes up at the Aether House, and finds the kids playing with his Spoink. He snatches it back, pushes the kids out of his room, and learns from the Spoink (which is his alarm) that Hala has paid him the fee for Tapu Lele’s delivery. Making sure that Lillie is asleep, Sun reveals the other bank slips he hid under his shirt, 5 in total, and counts that he is just 10 million short of his 100 million goal…

He need 100 million yen and in the last chapter he said that he needs 10 million to reach the goal

Look at this forum for almost a month without making a account. So to answer Sun's obession with money remember that we are in the SM anime and probably in the USUM too. And what cost a shit ton of money in those game ? The Kommo-o outfit. Also, Sun leave in Mele Island were we can buy the outfit. This explain is obsession of money.

Ok this is just a random theorie but do you think that Sird will come in the Sun and Moon manga ? She's one of the 3 Rocket Beast who give Guile is armor and after was working for Team Galatic. And in SM we have a shit ton of Sinnoh reference, we even have Moon who talk about Palkia and Giratina. Those are a lot of reason why I think Sird will come back in SM maybe as a member of the Aether Fondation.

They started to talk Necrozma so I think that they will do an USUM arc that will be focused on Team Rainbow Rocket and... I think he and all the main evil characters will return I'm sure it will be EPIC! I hope to see all the dex holders for that arc!
