Ranked Battle Season Special Battle Season 9

The Special Battle rules for Season 9 have been revealed. Season 9 will run from March 13th to May 14th 2018 and runs on Sun & Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, with rankings separate to eachother. This ruleset blocks usage of Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, Focus Sash and Eviolite and you can only select 2 Pokémon for the battle
Battle type: Double Battle
Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex. No Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, and Marshadow.
The other standard rules apply, including all set to Level 50 if above that, and you choose 2 Pokémon out of your 6, and you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item. Battles have a 10 minute duration, with turns having a 60 second timer.

This season has a very nice format, but looks a bit shallow, I read in Twitter the other day (PGL source) this battles are being dominated by Scarf Lele and Unburden Accelgor, in VGC this combo is very tricky to play around and now looks like they found their niche format hahaha

Only 2 mons and a lot of items banned... this is difficult
Will you join the official "2018 International Challenge March" Online Competition? I'll join and I hope that this time my team won't be destroyed like last time

Yep a difficult season start but counters eventually will appear after a couple of weeks, specially if some mons are very popular.
And Yes! Registered few days ago in both versions, I'll be running a VGC 17 team in my UM version (still exploring Ula' Ula ) and other standar team for the current meta in US, should be fun but I dont think I'll play the 90 battles haha

I registered too! Who knows, maybe we will face each other in the competition!
I'll use my team with Mega Metagross (I didn't use him in the previous competition and I regret it XDD)
Who plays all 90 battles? After 20 I usually stop
