It's time for some spoilers of the game! XD
Like always Kaphotics got the game and started to datamining it
- If you keep catching the same species of Pokémon over and over, you’ll have a better chance of meeting a really strong one! If you can keep it going, I hear you’ll be more likely to run into Shiny Pokémon!
Note: apparently doing a trainer battle doesnt break the chain for shiny hunting
- Shiny charm is obtained from the Game Director after completing the Pokédex (1-150)
- Shiny rate is the same as Gen7 's 1:4096 rate.
- Stationary encounter battles are time gated to 5:00 (minutes)
- Only Gen1 species (001-151) plus Meltan & Melmetal have models
- There isn't a post-game region / island set to explore, similar to FR/LG
- The candy boosted stats are internally called Awakening values. "BTL_STRID_STD_AwakeningUp_Atk". Awakened stat boosts are permanent, as far as we can tell. Looks like the maximum amount of candies used for a stat is 200. Looks like it's added directly to the calculated stat (after friendship boost).
- There's a total of 60 TMs usable
- Post-game gym leader rebattles are in
- Few move power changes:
Absorb: 20 -> 40 (now 15 pp)
Mega Drain: 40 -> 75 (now 10 pp)
Solar Beam: 120 -> 200
Sky Attack: 140 -> 200
- the starter you receive in Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee has fixed IVs, all flawless (31)!
- the starters can't be shiny
- Gym leaders
old vs new
- you can turn on an option to skip cutscenes

Blue, and Champ Rival & rebattle teams. Nice evolutions...
- (after E4, postgame rematch) A new Viridian City Gym Leader has arrived! BLUE: Stopped by to say hello, huh? Don’t you worry. Now that I’m a Gym Leader, I’m gonna make sure that all the Trainers in Kanto are up to my standard!
- stationary/gift encounters:
- Lures are in the game (are the opposite of a repel)
