Were the 3rd Generation family of games your first games? If so what memories do you have?

Well I'm not sure about posts like this are allowed in the section! BUT, Was the 3rd generation your first Generation? Well for me it was, I never played the Original RSE but my first game was FireRed which doesn't come under generation 1, I then played Ruby on an emulator and later bought Omega Ruby in December 2014.
I remember that in Pakistan where I am from they sold fake games and I lived in Dubai back then and apparently according to my parents the games were expensive in Dubai Even thought the ones in Dubai were real and not counterfeit, so i was the only one in my family whose game worked better and it could be saved and game after the champion could be completed too so I was the only to experience Sevii Island It was my best childhood memory of discovering secrets without walkthroughs! :d

Yes, post like this are allowed (why wouldn't they??)
I started with the first generation (Pokémon Red that I bought in Poland) but my first 3rd generation game was Pokémon Sapphire (italian version). I nearly completed the Pokédex (wasn't able since I haven't found someone to trade) and finished the master rank in the Contests (I really loved them!)
My first starter in Sapphire was Mudkip

My very first game was Pokémon Blue but I certainly enjoyed the 3rd generation! I used to play Blue and Gold alone, but when Ruby/Sapphire came out, a few friends bought them too so I spent more time playing them cause we'd meet to battle and trade. They were really fun. And also the good ol' Poké events in the 3rd gen, I'll never forget them, really miss them.
