Ok! Yesterday I got the game and started playing it!
In the end you can't choose the genre of your Pokémon :cry: but I choose anyway Pikachu and Piplup (partner).
The story for now seems interesting and I found a reference to gates of Infinity
They added Hydreigon!!! He only talks for a little but it was nice to see him again! :hype:

There's a lot of new things but I like the wand item, it's new to the Pokémon Dungeon series but in the Mystery Dungeon Shiren the Wanderer series there were those items! This was a nice surprise :yesyes:

I'm not that far in the story, for now there's a "ghost" that kidnapp Pokémon and Wailor (and others) is now petrified (he tryed to become a rock type but failer XDDDD)

And... I don't know who is the final boss but for now I will say: Yveltal :yeahyeah:

I want to play PSMD so bad, but I have to buy both an American 3DS and the game itself T-T
It's gonna take me a while to get into it :(
I hope it'll be as good as Explorers of Sky XD

Now, I'm thinking about the next step. What you guys think about Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon? Is it a good game? How is this compared to GTI?
For sure, "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon: Reviver Seed" is a good game :yesyes: but not good like the previous MD...
The osts are really good (maybe the best for a MD) but the gameplay is... broken (?) because in this game you have to use a lot of Reviver Seeds to stay alive (and the berries do nearly nothing...) so maybe it's the most difficult MD of the series :yeahyeah:
As for the plot... I think it's nice :yesyes: (but my favorite is still Explorers of Darkness/Time/Sky)

Thanks.

Is the plot cooler than GTI?

And, well, if it's harder than GTI maybe it would be a bit of pain for me (xD), as I... *spoiler alert*

...had some trouble to defeat Munna in the last time we face her. I had to play it again for awhile, maybe because of my leak of strategy. And the dungeon that leads to Munna battle itself was a bit of trouble to me (dammit Volcarona!).

Strangely, Kyurem was pretty easy. :uhmm:

But I think maybe it could be a good buy, if I find a store selling it with a good discount.

For me the plot is like Gates :yesyes: good but not epic like Darkness/Times/Sky....

And... it's difficult even because, if I remember well, sometimes you can't go to other dungeons to grind...
I'll quote you some reviews (only about the gameplay) about the gameplay difficulty:
Whoever was in charge of PSMD's combat must have had nightmares about GtI, because the difficulty level of combat has been ramped up from disappointingly easy to almost Dark Souls levels of hard. You will die. You will die a lot. And leveling seems to be a much slower process than it used to be compared to earlier games. Type matchups don't seem to carry nearly as much weight as I think they should in a game like this, and your moves' damage doesn't appear to scale as much as the enemies' HP does as the game progresses (you'll notice this especially in postgame dungeons), even with the move experience mechanic brought over from GtI. Meanwhile, enemies start to do insane amounts of damage to your party in one turn, and will start to one shot you from full HP.

1.) I don't care what anyone says- this game is TOUGH.

As I mentioned, I've played mystery dungeon games since the start, so I have a pretty good handle on how difficult they usually are. That said, right off the back this installment makes you work for every last EXP point and (P) you earn, to such an extent that I've had to turn off my game and walk away for a few hours to regain my composure.

Firstly, the average enemies are just plain harsh. In the previous games it was easy to out-level the grunts on each floor and take them down with a register attack. Now, however, I get the feeling that these Pokemon have discovered steroids. No longer am I losing to the occasional boss battle, but instead am going down to red health on nearly every enemy I run across. Even with two partners attacking along side you, it can sometimes take two or three turns just to defeat a single enemy. If this is the case right off the bat, then I can only shudder at the thought of higher-level resistance later.

Additionally, enemies evolve after nearly every KO they achieve, meaning that if one of your team faints during combat, YOU will now have to deal with something roughly twice as powerful as it was before. The chances of this happening? Higher than you might think, given that the new A.I.s for team members encourages them to wander after every item in every room and away from the relative safety of the group.

Also, Monster Houses and Traps appear almost immidiately during gameplay. Yup, you got it- those unusually strong enemies I was talking about? You could randomly find yourself surrounded by ten of them, ready to evolve as soon as your weakest link fails.

Now, normally these conditions wouldn't be too bad. After all, usually after failing a dungeon you lose only a bit of your held items and money, then you can keep trying again and again as you level up right? Heh, WRONG. because in this game, every time you fail you lose ALL of your belongings. That's right, every item that you bring to assist your survival can be lost forever as soon as you bite the dust. This on its own is extremely annoying, especially since certain items aren't easy to come by.

So, since you are still new to the series I suggest you to play Super at your own risk. It's possibile to finish the game (I finished it) but like I wrote before, the game is really tough and you need a lot of Reviver Seeds and patience. So if you want something more like Gates, try Explorers :yesyes: and when you feel read to a challenge buy Super :yesyes:

The sotry is ok but I think that it's a little more difficult from the usual Dungeon series (I liked it but it was a little annoying to have only Reviver Seeds...)

I'm pretty sure "fainting from laughter" wasn't the actual effect of those Reviser Seeds. I can't remember what it was, but I know that "fainting from laughter" only happens when your character attempts to revive by eating one of them while mistaking it for a Reviver seed.

Hmm About PSMD... hmm yeah I had a really fun experience with the game, I found it relatively easy to play through, well except for the last couple of boss fights, those were like A PAIN in the ass to defeat.
But overall I found it a really fun game to play, some of the items were not as easy to get though I barely used items in the PMD games anyway apart from the Oran, Reviver and sometimes a status heal berry.!!

So to sum my experience up, Fun and relatively easy to play, combat system was really interesting and story was just really amazing!!!

I should get the game at some point. Seen some snapshots through Miiverse and thought it was pretty cool. Only played Blue Mystery Dungeon on Wii U, so don't know much of the series, sadly. :(

I blame Zapdos!! >_<
